New Liberal MP pushes for negative gearing caps

The Coalition should consider a cap on negative gearing for investment properties and working with the states to replace stamp duty, a NSW senator says, part of plans to improve housing supply and reform the tax system.
Former NSW Liberal Party president Maria Kovacic delivered her maiden speech to parliament on Tuesday, calling for the Coalition to champion policies focussed on people and “not protecting vested interests”.
