MyGov review rethinks how the government should work

The review team heard many suggestions to unleash the full potential of the federal service portal, but there’s little point having a flash front door if the foyer is a consumer mish-mash.

There was an important déjà vu moment for David Thodey’s myGov review team as they waded through the many suggestions to improve the federal service portal.

Thodey’s seminal 2019 review of the Australian public service observed there had been no shortage of reviews and ideas about how to modernise the federal public sector, but lack of will and a dedicated reform program had stymied progress.
