Morrison government loses shock vote on deputy speaker

The Morrison government has lost a shock vote in federal Parliament, after Labor nominated a disaffected Nationals MP to become deputy speaker.
Hours after he announced plans to quit the Nationals' party room, Wide Bay MP Llew O'Brien beat the government's nominee for the position, National Damian Drum.
