A key ally of former deputy prime minister Barnaby Joyce has quit the Nationals, adding to pressure on leader Michael McCormack.
Queensland backbench MP Llew O'Brien reportedly told Prime Minister Scott Morrison he was quitting the junior Coalition partner on Sunday night, days after Mr Joyce's failed leadership challenge.
