Bullock to be RBA governor in ‘history-making’ move

Deputy Reserve Bank governor Michele Bullock will become Australia’s first female central bank governor after she was chosen to replace Philip Lowe when his term expires in September.
In a decision that places an emphasis on continuity in the midst of a rates tightening cycle, Ms Bullock, who was among the favourites to replace Dr Lowe, was anointed by cabinet on Friday morning.
