The labour movement has vowed to fight the government's move to give distressed businesses extra latitude to negotiate workplace agreements which do not comply with the no-worse-off test that underpins the enterprise bargaining system.
The measure, contained in the omnibus industrial relations bill to be released on Wednesday, would enable the Fair Work Commission to approve agreements that can run for two years and circumvent the Better Off Overall Test, or BOOT.
