Even Indigenous support for Voice may be failing
Despite their deep familiarity with racial injustice, prominent Indigenous electorates oppose the Voice to parliament, new polling says.
Now that rejection of the Indigenous constitutional recognition referendum seems certain, it is worth considering a question that would have seemed improbable six months ago: might the biggest Aboriginal electorates vote No?
Polling by London-based Focaldata, which correctly predicted the Tory victory in the 2019 British election, has the No vote ahead in the five federal electorates with the largest Indigenous populations as a proportion of voters.
