Christmas overseas more likely than in WA, readers say

Readers of The Australian Financial Review think it is more likely they will be able to spend Christmas overseas than in Western Australia, as “political grandstanding” over border closures see WA and Queensland splinter from national cabinet commitments.

Just one-quarter of respondents to the latest Financial Review reader poll thought WA would open to the east coast before Australia reopened to the world, with less than 20 per cent supporting COVID-free states staying closed after the 80 per cent vaccination threshold is reached.
