The federal opposition has upped its sales pitch for nuclear power, saying the coal communities which would host the new facilities will enjoy higher-paying jobs and cheaper power.
Amid competing views over the feasibility of nuclear power, opposition climate change and energy spokesman Ted O’Brien will tell The Australian Financial Review Energy and Climate Summit the benefits will last for decades.
