As state and territory treasurers prepare to put party lines aside and meet here in Victoria for the latest Board of Treasurers, the time is right for us to join forces and put the pressure on Canberra once more to let us embark on the reforms that make Australia a fairer and more prosperous place to live.
It was almost three decades ago that the governments of Australia agreed to establish a National Competition Policy, which supported the states that were willing to get on with reforms that boosted productivity and created jobs.
