Bureaucrats ‘putting kids in the hands of abusers’: Price
Coalition senator and Voice to parliament opponent Jacinta Nampijinpa Price has called for the federal government to take responsibility for child protection in Australia, alleging Northern Territory bureaucrats have handed vulnerable children back to their abusers in the top end.
Amid a growing political storm about anti-social behaviour and crime in Alice Springs, Senator Price told ABC TV on Sunday the local government department Territory Families was “putting kids in the hands of abusers”.
