Biloela asylum family could be resettled overseas

The Morrison government is examining options to resettle a high-profile Tamil refugee family in a third country such as New Zealand or the United States, as their three-year-old daughter battles blood poisoning.

Tharnicaa Murugappan and her mother, Priya, were airlifted from Christmas Island’s detention centre to a Perth hospital on Monday, with supporters suggesting her blood poisoning may have been caused by pneumonia that went untreated for days.
