Barnaby 2.0: ‘It’s gonna be a wild ride’

Not since Tim Fischer was applauded after his farewell speech to Parliament has there been such a spontaneous round of applause for an outgoing leader as there was in the House of Representatives on Monday.
As Michael McCormack exited the chamber after his last day in the chair as Deputy Prime Minister, the Liberals, Labor and the Nationals colleagues who voted for him applauded with gusto. Even Barnaby Joyce gave a slow clap.
