  • Russian minister found dead hours after Kremlin dismissal: Roman Starovoit, who formally served as governor of the Kursk border region invaded by Ukraine, was found dead from a gunshot wound in his car with a pistol previously awarded to him.
  • Trump announces 25pc tariffs on Japan and South Korea: US President Donald Trump moved to impose a 25 per cent tax on all goods exported from Japan and South Korea to the US, after posting notice letters to his social media platform Truth Social.
