Australian Securities and Investments Commission chairman James Shipton will return to work on Monday after standing aside in October, but will leave the job once a replacement is found.
Although an independent report into an expense matter found Mr Shipton had done no wrong, he and Treasurer Josh Frydenberg “agreed” he would leave the regulator once a successor was chosen.
