Angry Liberal MPs say the party should dump its election pollster because the erroneous intelligence it provided led to bad decisions in other parts of the operation, including where to campaign and direct advertising dollars.
Freshwater Strategy overestimated the Coalition’s strength in many seats, which led to opposition leader Peter Dutton campaigning in safe Labor seats his party was not going to win, while avoiding marginal Liberal seats at threat.
