Labor leader Anthony Albanese is refusing to demote or expel federal MP Anthony Byrne, saying anti-corruption proceedings in Victoria must be allowed to take their course.
Mr Albanese, who demanded last year that Scott Morrison immediately sack one of his ministers who was accused of branch stacking, said Mr Byrne, who has admitted using taxpayer-funded staff to help with branch stacking, was entitled to due process.
