Just two out of five readers of The Australian Financial Review support Opposition Leader Peter Dutton’s decision to block capping international students, but the Coalition remains the most trusted to get the immigration balance right.

Despite regularly lambasting the Albanese government over high migration levels and promising deep cuts to the number of foreigners allowed to move to Australia, the Coalition last week announced it would team up with the Greens to block Labor’s plan to cap international student enrolments next year at 270,000.
