Farmers warn of Christmas cherry shortages after NSW flooding

Extraordinary flooding and heavy rain across the NSW Central West has devastated farms including much of the state’s cherry crop, prompting growers to warn of shortages and high prices in the lead up to Christmas.

NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet urged the entire state to be on alert for flooding after months of persistent rain which has saturated the ground and filled catchments, dams and rivers to capacity across multiple regions.
