CLIQUE NOT UNDUE INFLUENCE: KENNETT

THE Premier of Victoria, Mr Kennett, yesterday defended his style of leadership, claiming that Government policy was not unduly influenced by an inner sanctum of Melbourne's business and political hierarchy.
Conceding that he attended meetings of a Melbourne clique known as the"Rumour Tank", he said that the group had no greater influence than the many community, church and business groups that he met regularly.
