Dominic Perrottet failed his first popularity test as NSW’s Liberal premier by losing the Bega by-election.
But voters in Strathfield were sceptical of the Labor Party, demonstrating that the federal election will be fought city-by-city, suburb-by-suburb and town-by-town.
