Queensland’s most influential powerbroker has thrown his support behind Premier Steven Miles to hold on to the Labor leadership ahead of a likely state electoral defeat on Saturday.

United Workers Union boss Gary Bullock, who also sits on the powerful Labor national executive, has wielded extraordinary power in the state for many years and was the key enforcer behind Mr Miles’ ascension to the premiership after Annastacia Palaszczuk resigned in December.
