Fully one-third of this year's new entrants to the Financial Review Young Rich List come from the burgeoning fintech sector – the collision of new technology with an under-pressure traditional banking business that is creating new financial channels and ways of reaching customers.
Greg Moshal and Beau Bertoli of fast business loans provider Prospa join on the List Nick Molnar and Anthony Eisen of Afterpay, a buy-now-pay-later phone app for Millennials who shun credit cards. Then there is Larry Diamond of personal lender ZipCo, which Westpac has decided to buy into.
