CFMEU directors depart in Cbus board cleanout

CFMEU administrator Mark Irving KC has forced veteran Dave Noonan off the board of $92 billion superannuation fund Cbus and the two other union directors have jumped ship, as fallout from the CFMEU scandal spreads beyond the construction industry.

The departure of the three union-appointed directors of the construction industry super fund sparked fresh calls for all unions to be stripped of their power to appoint board members to funds associated with their industry, to improve governance.
