NSW to resume non-urgent elective surgery

Non-urgent elective surgeries requiring overnight stays will resume in NSW from Monday after being suspended due to the outbreak of the omicron variant of COVID-19 over summer.

Private hospitals across the state will return to 75 per cent capacity for surgeries with room being left to take in non-coronavirus patients from stretched public hospitals.
