More than a third of young people share distress prior to suicide

National analysis of youth suicide in Australia finds that 36 per cent of males and 39 per cent of females communicated their distress to family and friends prior to taking their lives.

They communicated online or directly, according to the analysis published in The Medical Journal of Australia on Monday.
