Childcare rebates could leap to $14b - but women still aren’t back at work

Federal government outlays on childcare subsidies have increased by $6 billion over four years, but without any corresponding increase in women’s workplace participation, a new report has revealed.

At the same time, childcare fees have risen 24 per cent, with the biggest rises in low-income areas.
