China is feasting on Australian rock lobster as it celebrates lunar new year despite bans imposed by Beijing in 2020 at a flashpoint in relations with Canberra.

The Chinese market is being supplied with WA-caught rock lobster through backdoor, or grey trade routes, including across the Vietnam-China border and via Hong Kong and Taiwan.
