Recently, there’s been a lot of excitement in paleoanthropology circles about the rediscovery of the Western spine.

Scientists had often speculated that the modern human would no longer have much use for legs, other than for decorative purposes. But no one guessed that Western man would have instead evolved to a hominid invertebrate, and in so short a time.
