More than 10 per cent of NSW's coronavirus infections come from a cruise ship that was allowed to disembark 2647 passengers – including one on a stretcher – after it arrived in Sydney Harbour last Thursday.

That elderly female passenger, who had been taken straight from the Ruby Princess to a hospital with flu symptoms, died on Tuesday morning, making her the eighth person to succumb to COVID-19 in Australia.
