The US might be Israel’s biggest supplier of arms, but President Joe Biden has little sway over Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his military plans for Gaza, the West Bank, Lebanon, Yemen, Syria and Iran.

This is a huge battle-front for Israel that will strain its military resources. But short of ending US arms shipment to his Israeli counterpart, Biden will have little say in how these munitions are deployed as the conflict widens.
