All change as Prabowo prepares for the top job

In the days that followed Prabowo Subianto’s victory in Indonesia’s presidential election on February 14, 2024, two revealing developments took place.
On February 19, the Prabowo camp confirmed that it was unlikely the internationally respected finance minister Sri Mulyani would continue in her role from October, when the new administration is sworn in. This split between Prabowo and Sri Mulyani gives foreign investors circling the country pause for thought.
