Monday marks a new era for the Reserve Bank of Australia – and, by extension, for the Australian economy and the welfare of the Australian people. That’s when the newly formed monetary policy board will meet for the very first time.
It also marks two years to the day since the landmark RBA review was handed to Treasurer Jim Chalmers, having been co-authored by Professor Renee Fry-McKibbin, who will also be attending the meeting as a monetary policymaker for the first time.
