Remote work fuelling higher housing costs: BIS

Landlords passing on rising mortgage rates to their tenants and an increase in working from home appear to be fuelling high inflation in the property sector, according to new research.
Economists at the Swiss-based Bank for International Settlements (BIS), a club of central banks, found that housing cost inflation was proving particularly difficult to contain across advanced economies in the current tightening cycle.
