RBA's Harper defends COVID-19 restrictions

Reserve Bank board member Ian Harper has defended the policy decisions of state governments on border closures and social distancing but says they need to be continually reviewed and adjusted.
"When time is of the essence you have to think hard and fast and you don't always have the luxury of consultation," Dr Harper told the Economic Society of Australia's Ted Evans Public Policy Lecture on Thursday.
