Push to make public companies using JobKeeper

Treasury Secretary Steven Kennedy and Australian Taxation Office Commissioner Chris Jordan will be grilled at a Senate inquiry on Tuesday on whether recipients of Australia's biggest stimulus package - the $70 billion JobKeeper program - should be disclosed on a public register to improve transparency and accountability.

Major companies such as casino operator Star Entertainment, which has 7000 staff on the scheme, retailer Premier Investments, airlines Qantas and Virgin, car dealers AP Eagers and medical instruments Cochlear and property companies such as Lendlease and Mirvac all receive some form of JobKeeper.
