The Liberal-National opposition has vowed to stabilise Queensland’s debt and safeguard its credit rating with tighter spending than Labor has promised after the Miles government’s election cash-splash ballooned to $9.4 billion.
With costings due to be released on Thursday, shadow treasurer David Janetzki said the LNP’s focus would be on controlling Queensland’s debt by rejecting Labor’s “economically reckless” election promises.
