NSW Labor declares ‘no reckless spending’ as it vows to scrap TAHE
The MP vying to become the next treasurer of NSW has declared there will be “no reckless spending” under NSW Labor and says his team’s top priority is to beat inflation, as he vows to bring $40 billion of public assets – including the state’s rail assets – back on to the state’s balance sheet.
Opposition Treasury spokesman Daniel Mookhey, who will become treasurer if Labor wins the state election in March, emphasised the opposition’s plan for fiscal discipline in his first major address to Sydney’s business community ahead of the election.
