JobKeeper recipients hit by pay penalty, report finds

The former Morrison government’s $89 billion JobKeeper wage subsidy went on for too long during the pandemic and ultimately tied workers to lower-paying jobs, an independent review has found.
Research by the non-partisan e61 Institute found JobKeeper achieved its broad economic aims, but lessons need to be learnt for future economic downturns.
