Standard hotel rooms have soared beyond $1000 a night in central Brisbane before the blockbuster State of Origin decider, while a bed in a mixed-dorm hostel will set footy fans back more than $150 each.

Queensland and NSW are locked one-all ahead of Wednesday’s game three, triggering an interstate frenzy of league tragics flocking to the city.
