The White House backdrop for Kamala Harris’ big speech to mark the final week in her push for the US presidency was chosen to remind voters of the chaos, division and violence that would mark a return of Donald Trump.
Standing in the park where Trump addressed a crowd on January 6, 2021, she started by denouncing the former president for sending “an armed mob to the United States Capitol to overturn the will of the people”.
