Peter Dutton says he will work on flipping Queensland opposition leader David Crisafulli’s repeated rebuke of nuclear power if his Liberal-National counterpart wins the state election later this month.

In the federal opposition leader’s first appearance in the state campaign, Mr Dutton on Friday deflected multiple questions at a press conference about the energy policy schism before saying “we can have that conversation” if Mr Crisafulli forms an LNP government.
