A Coalition government would force public servants to work from the office five days per week, putting an end to generous work-from-home arrangements opposition finance spokeswoman Jane Hume says have become unsustainable and unproductive.
Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has put a sharp focus on the public service in the lead-up to the election, due by May 17, pledging to save about $6 billion per year by cutting up to 36,000 workers.
