Cinemas, zoos and theme parks thrive on government vouchers

NSW’s Dine and Discover voucher program injected almost $1 billion in direct spending into the economy during its 16-month lifespan, with movies, zoos and amusement parks pulling in more than 1.1 million redemptions on the final day of the scheme.

In the final week of the scheme, cinemas redeemed 1,160,657 discover vouchers, with amusement parks, arcades and recreational activities redeeming 547,556, according to a Service NSW spokesman.
