London | Treasurer Jim Chalmers will this week meet one of his favourite economists, Mariana Mazzucato, as she swings through Australia to tout her vision of how a beefed-up state can better harness the private sector to drive economic and social policy.
Dr Mazzucato will also appear on panels with NSW Treasurer Daniel Mookhey, Victorian Treasurer Tim Pallas, Industry Minister Ed Husic and senior bureaucrats including chief scientist Cathy Foley and the head of the federal government’s new National Reconstruction Fund Corp, Martijn Wilder.
