Australia’s unproductive productivity ‘debate’
Despite the stock of well-researched and publicly tested policy options available to governments, the potential to “do more harm” is as great as it has ever been.

This is occurring at a time when Australia has never had a greater need to lift productivity. Without it, the shorter-term challenges of fiscal imbalance, debt and inflation, and the continuing imperative to raise living standards, will be put at risk.
