The chief investment officer of the country’s largest pool of capital, AustralianSuper’s Mark Delaney, says the bear market in equities isn’t over yet and the United States is poised to enter an economic downturn thanks to sustained rate rises.

Equity and bond markets globally are in the middle of one of their worst years on record, as sharply higher inflation forces central banks to jack up rates unexpectedly quickly.
