Zombie cuts dumped, Medicare reversal flagged

Scott Morrison has effectively confirmed that about $13 billion in "zombie" cuts to welfare and education which have lingered since 2014 will be dumped in next week's budget to stop further political damage and shore up the nation's AAA credit rating.

And the Treasurer has flagged a reversal to some or all of the Medicare cuts that damaged the Coalition at the last election.
