Whistleblower and former head of the Health Services Union Kathy Jackson has been found to have misused union funds and ordered to repay $1.4 million to her former employer.

Federal Court Justice Richard Tracey found Ms Jackson improperly used her position as head of the union to gain advantage for herself, spending funds on designer shopping trips, divorce payments and overseas holidays.
