Travel demand historically has been relatively resilient through economic downturns. But one could be forgiven for thinking the travel industry is in a terrible state right now, looking at the recent share price performance of three key travel agent companies listed on the ASX.

The share prices of Flight Centre, Web Travel, and Corporate Travel Management have all fallen significantly ―not because travel has fallen off a cliff, but largely driven by company-specific challenges.
